The biggest Soccer Manager update of the year is here - the 2.1.0 transfers update has arrived!
Our main focus for this patch was updates to transfers and ratings. There have been over 1300 new players and over 11,000 ratings updates to help make the game as realistic as possible. Another major part of this update has been a huge number of bug fixes. We’ve been keeping a close eye on reports from our community for the last few months and have prioritised tackling the biggest issues that have been reported.
The full patch notes for version 2.1.0 can be found below. Issues highlighted in bold have been fixed or introduced as a direct result of community reports.
ADDED
- Introduced additional interaction feedback around the social media buttons in the newsfeed.
- Added new graphics to be used in future events.
- Added a stats tab back to the world news menu.
CHANGED
- Updated the game data to reflect recent transfers that have taken place in the winter window or that were not updated in time for the summer update.
- Changed a lot of UI elements, including the search screen.
- Updated player ratings to reflect their current real-world performance.
- Reduced the overall levels of fixture congestion, including cup matches coming the day after other matches.
- Player potential now displays as a range, rather than only showing their maximum potential.
FIXED
- Fixed an issue where it was impossible to delete messages from players that had left your club.
- Players that appear in the spotlight preview will now always appear in the full spotlight.
- Fixed an issue where board objectives would sometimes not be checked off despite being achieved.
- Resolved an issue where regenerated players would sometimes be made permanently unavailable for selection.
- Fixed an issue with kits that would cause matches to fail to load and show two players on the pitch in the preview. This should no longer block progression.
- Fixed an issue where players with substitute appearances had an increased chance of winning player of the month/season awards, leading to strange choices.
- A large number of behind-the-scenes optimisations & bugfixes.
With this update, we believe that we have fixed the majority of the biggest problems that have been reported to us by our community. There is still work to be done though, so we will be continuing to monitor feedback and will prioritise our work accordingly.
We’ll have some big news for the Soccer Manager series coming up soon, so keep an eye out for that! We’ve got huge plans in the works that you’re not going to want to miss…
