Back of the Net for SpecialEffect

Our very own Invincibles Studio football team once again dusted off their boots to take part in SpecialEffect’s Football 5s tournament in Liverpool – and brought home silverware whilst they were at it!

SpecialEffect are a fantastic charity who help people with physical impairments live life to the fullest by supporting them in getting access to specialist equipment and software that helps them play video games. They work tirelessly to build bespoke setups for those who need them and champion inclusivity and accessibility in gaming. Every year, they run charity tournaments up and down the country, and we were thrilled to be able to take part and support the work they do.

Our high-flying team this year was made up of members of staff from across the company, including Chris, Iain, Conor, Alex, Glen, Nate, and Phil. After navigating their way through a tricky group stage, our very own Invincibles team cruised through the knockout rounds before being crowned champions. To cap off our victory, our winning goal scorer was also named Player of the Day.

Star man Conor said that “It was a great day raising money for a great cause and we were all thrilled to bring the trophy home. On a personal note, it was great to score the winning goal in the final and be voted Player of the Day!”

We’d like to thank SpecialEffect for putting the tournament together and for all of the work that they do. If you’d like to find out more about them (including how to support them), you can visit their website at the link below.
