With the first day of Soccer Manager 2027 being a huge success, we wanted to provide an update on what to expect over the next few weeks.
Transfer and player data in the Soccer Manager series is powered by soccerwiki.org, a community database of thousands of players. On Soccerwiki, users can vote on changes to players and propose edits of their own, making it one of the largest community-powered football resources on the internet.
We are aware that some transfers on the most popular datapacks are out-of-date at the moment. This is because some transfer windows have closed later and the updates were not able to be supported in time for launch. To fix this, we will be publishing two updates over the coming weeks that enable support for all of the latest transfer market action:
We will be pushing an update live next week that enables support for the latest transfers from the following countries:
- Austria
- Belgium
- Portugal
- Scotland
- Turkiye
- USA
- Ukraine
- Saudi Arabia
This update will also contain a few additional bugfixes and improvements that didn’t quite make it in for launch. This update should also contain localised create-a-club players, fixes for some international management issues, the removal of the 25 player squad cap, a fix for issues around player minutes being recorded incorrectly, and a lot more.
The next update will come closer to the end of the month and will enable support for recent transfers in the following countries:
- Brazil
- Croatia
- Czechia
- Mexico
- Poland
- Romania
- Russia
- Switzerland
With this update, all of the leagues supported in Soccer Manager 2027 will be fully updated. This release will also contain the much-requested increase in size of the substitute bench from 7 to 9, along with a few other fixes and improvements
Going forward, we are going to have a full roadmap of content for the next twelve months of Soccer Manager. We have some exciting features planned, such as Club Archetypes and Effective Ratings, and we plan to make the most of the continuous app by releasing completely new content more frequently this year. You’ll have to stay tuned to find out more about what we have in store though!
