Meet Conor, Product Owner
This month, we spoke to Conor Evans, Product Owner & Game Designer for our up-and-coming title, Champions Elite Football! Our Product Owners sit at the helm of our games and steer their development from start to finish, and Conor has been guiding Champions Elite Football towards its release later this year.
Prior to working at Invincibles Studio, Conor studied Game Design at Lancaster University. At the same time, he was also a part-time employee at the Disney Store! Conor has been with us for nearly ten years now and has risen through different roles at the company before taking the reins of Champions Elite Football.
What inspired you to get involved in game development?
“I have always been a creative type and I loved video games. Ever since I was young I always wanted to make my own games, so I pursued a course in Game Design & Development at University!”
How has your experience been since joining the company?
“Amazing! I started off at the company as a member of the QA team, straight out of university ten years ago. I was working on the original iteration of our singleplayer series before moving on to the UI team where I was able to help design the look and feel of our games. Over several years, I have been lucky enough to work across all of our titles, designing both the UI and different game mechanics. Last year, I became Product Owner of our bran new title Champions Elite Football, which we have been working on for a while now, and I cannot wait for it to launch!”
What has been your favourite part of working at Invincibles Studio?
“Seeing the team and business grow over 10 years, from the first iteration I worked on, to the latest game. It’s crazy to see just how much the company has evolved! The people who work at Invincibles Studio are great and I love coming into work each day.”
What do you do outside of work?
“Play football, watch Liverpool FC, and play video games! (Especially anything fantasy related – Zelda, Elden Ring, Final Fantasy, etc…)
Favourite animal?
“Wolf.”
